The Crystal Beach Community Enrichment is pleased to offer the Memorial Bench program to those who wish to purchase a bench in honor of a loved one or group. Various pre-determined locations have been selected along the Gulf which will be allocated using a lottery system.

CBCE is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so your donation is tax deductible.

The bench sponsorship cost is $2,000 and will cover the cost of purchasing the 6’ bench, engraving (and filling) up to 3 back slates, and complete installation. The sponsorship shall last for 10 years, with an additional 5-year term to be offered at no additional cost should the bench be in a good physical condition.

Crystal Beach Shoreline Memorial Park Bench Program Policies

1. The Crystal Beach Community Enrichment shall coordinate, manage, andadminister the Shoreline Memorial Park Bench Program (the “Program”).

2. The 6’ Benches will be of a single uniform design selected by the CrystalBeach Community Enrichment. The locations available for bench installationswill be pre-approved by CBCE.

3. Memorial benches or other project installations shall be maintained by theCommunity for a period not to exceed ten (10) years from the date ofinstallation. Maintenance shall include and be limited to cleaning and minorrepairs

4. The CBCE shall not be held responsible for loss or damage to the benchincluding but not limited to theft, vandalism, or weather. If a bench isvandalized or lost it may be repaired or replaced. The sponsor shall benotified and may elect to replace or repair the bench at their expense. Thereis no obligation on the part of the CBCE or the sponsor to repair a bench thatwas damaged by theft, vandalism or weather.

5. Memorial Park Bench Sponsorships shall cost $2,000 per bench. The totalbench sponsorship will pay for the cost of the bench, the cost of the memorialengraving, and shipping and installation fees. The bench sponsorship is notrefundable under any circumstances once the bench and memorialengraving have been ordered.

6. No work shall commence until full payment of the sponsorship is received andall project approvals have been obtained.

7. Benches will be installed in groups, bench installation dates shall not beguaranteed.

8. Written confirmation shall be sent to the sponsor by the CBCE after aninstallation is complete.

9. In the tenth (10th) year following the bench installation, the sponsor shallcontact the CBCE should he/she wish to extend the term of the project for anadditional five (5) years. The CBCE, at its sole discretion, shall assess thecondition of the bench and will determine if an additional five (5) year term isfeasible. If an additional five (5) year term is not feasible, the sponsor mayelect to submit a new application for a new bench. If an additional five (5)year term is feasible, the term shall be extended an additional five (5) yearsat no cost to the sponsor by submitting an updated signed policy agreement.If the sponsor does not contact the CBCE to extend the term of the memorialbench, the CBCE, at its sole discretion, may remove or relocate the bench.

10. Within the term of the agreement and any extensions, the CBCE reserves theright to relocate any and all benches at any time should such action benecessary, including but not limited to property development, vandalism, orinterference with community operations. The CBCE shall make a reasonableeffort to contact the sponsor should relocation of a bench be required.

11. It shall be the duty of the sponsor to keep the CBCE informed as to his or hercurrent mailing address and the current address of his or her legalrepresentative if notices are to be sent to that representative. Notices or othercorrespondence mailed to the address on file with the CBCE for the sponsor orhis or her representative shall constitute actual delivery and notification.

12. All decisions of the CBCE with regards to this Program shall be final.

13. Locations will be assigned using a raffle/lottery system.

14. Benches can be shared.
